Yamamoto at the V&A, London

I'm alive! Here's a little of what I've been up to. I edited out the boring bits and thought I'd bring you something to go do, now that summer time is coming Even those of you who are not avid followers of fashion will have encountered Yohji Yamamoto’s design influence, in one way or another. The Tokyo fashion wonder counts the likes of Sir Elton John as a friend and his haute couture pieces are to die for. So imagine my joy when my artsy friend suggested we go to an exhibition of his work at The Victoria and Albert Museum. As if that place didn’t have enough of the ‘wow’ factor already. Although minimalistic in its layout, don’t be tricked into thinking that there is nothing to do at the exhibition. The booklet that you are handed at the door gives a description of every garment, carefully dressing the mannequins that are positioned carefully around the room.
