Beauty Tuesday: Benefit They're Real mascara
The rush of Pay Day is a feeling that never gets old, so I decided to splash out on a relatively expensive mascara. Usually, I'm a huge fan of Rimmel mascaras and they're so reasonably priced that I rarely stray from them. But on this occasion, Boots' impressive display of Benefit's They're Real and the money in my bank account completely won me over.
Now, I have a confession to make. I am a fan of most things Benefit but I tried their BADgal mascara once and contrary to the rave reviews, I was actually a little disappointed. So, although apprehensive about their latest claims to lengthen, curl, volumise and separate, I decided that based on my love everything else Benefit, it was worth a try.

Upon first application, I thought the consistency was a little bit runny but aren't most new mascaras like that? After a couple of coats, it was building up nicely. The zig-zag application method really does work wonders and before long, the difference was obvious. Then I realised that a couple of coats was all I needed because the difference was so dramatic. I have quite long but very fine lashes, so a mascara that can volumise is a must for me.
Also, I'm super impressed with the beautiful tube. It's a smart silver colour and I prefer it to the more brightly coloured tubes from other brands.
All in all, I'm pretty blown away by this mascara and now I've tried it, I won't be looking back. Now, as part of my office make up look, I tend to apply mascara and blush but no other make up on my eyes. It really is that good! Also, kudos to Benefit who have pages of customer reviews on their website.
So, my verdict is that without a doubt, this is one of the best mascaras I have ever tried. Well worth the £18.50 price tag.

Amazing because: it does exactly what it claims and lasts all day.
Annoying because: it is a tiny bit runny, to begin with.
Hope that helps. What are the beauty products you're raving about lately?
Lots of love,

Nice way to mix it up with your posts. I try to do the same instead of sticking with fashion, because it encompasses much more than clothes. Keep it up and people will be here all the time
