What to Wear: New Term
The new term is almost upon us. New term = new clothes. Oh, and lots of reading in preparation, of course.
And there you have it, your student style sorted. Don't forget to take advantage of student discount if you can. Believe me, it makes a huge difference - even if 10% doesn't sound like a lot. Around the start of term, quite a few high street stores increase student discount to 20%, so look out for that and invest in your key pieces such as coats and boots, during these times.
Don't over-complicate things. There will always be one or two people who looked styled to perfection (full face of make up, heels etc) but give it a couple of months, after the commuting and early mornings have taken their toll - they too will decide that when it comes to studying, comfort rules. Nothing is worse than trying to navigate public transport in 5 inch stilettos.
Beauty-wise, you needn't always go full on with your face. Invest in a slightly heavier face moisturiser, to look after your skin, as the weather gets a little harsher. I used to go for a warmer shade of blusher, for autumn/winter, then a slick of lipgloss and a coat or two of mascara.
That's it from me for now. Work hard and play hard.
Are you a student? What looks will you be starting the term with?
But going back to school/college handily coincides with the coming Autumn season - what better excuse do you need to revamp your wardrobe?
At uni, my style stepped up, thank goodness. But I look back at what I wore during my college days and literally die inside. So, this post is partly for all the students out there who are stuck for ideas. But it's partly for me to fantasize about how I wish I'd dressed at college.
Believe me, it is possible to be slightly lazy when those winter mornings arrive and you're getting ready in a rush (because you wanted the extra few minutes in bed. No? Just me?) and still look gorgeous.
