33 Random Facts About Me
I'm loving this post that's making its way around the blogosphere at the moment, so I'm doing my own. Here are 30 facts about me that you didn't need to know. Enjoy...
1. I have a degree in English and Creative Writing from Birmingham City University
2. My favourite number is two because I was born on the 2nd of February. (Oops, technically, that was two facts).
3. I have three brothers and no sisters. Two older, one younger.
4. I was born on my due date, at 11:59pm.
5. As a child, I used to eat strawberry jam and ready salted crisp sandwiches. My parents are still appalled by this, but don't knock it until you've tried it. (Make sure the jam is chilled).
6. My mom and I are so close that we often say the same thing at the same time and finish one another's sentences.
7. I have a very mixed heritage. Jamaican, Scottish, Native American, anybody?
8. I am a Christian and it's the greatest adventure I've ever been on.
9. If I wasn't a writer, I would have been an English teacher.
10. I have always wanted to visit Japan and based my final project in GCSE textiles on Harajuku.
11. I once met S Club 7 in the motorway service station, on the way back from Blackpool. I didn't like Blackpool very much but the hug from Bradley McIntosh made my day.
12. I have five names in total (which don't all fit on my driving licence). One first name, two middle and a hyphenated surname.
13. I don't like toast, avocado, baked beans, egg yolk or sprouts.
14. The number of 1st cousins I have.
15. I collect vinyl
16. My favourite colours are pink and grey.
17. I've always wanted to play guitar but don't think I'd be as good as my dad and brother and I don't want short fingernails.
18. I am afraid of clowns and rats.
19. Although it's been off the TV for a few years, I can still quote from most episodes of The Mighty Boosh.
20. I know the entire script to the film Purple Rain and one summer, I watched it so many times that the video wouldn't play anymore.
21. I drive. My car is red and called Florence Rouge :)
22. The number of candles on my birthday cake this year.
23. One of my most favourite sounds in the world is acoustic guitar.
24. I love Yankee Candles - especially Garden Sweet Pea.
25. I hate snow.
26. From the age of eight to the age of 13, I played clarinet.
27. My regular Starbucks is caramel macchiato.
28. Every time I stretch, I actually say the word "stretch". No idea why. My dad does it too.
29. I love to dance. No matter where I am, if the rhythm gets me, I will at least get the shoulders going.
30. My favourite cuisine is Italian.
31. One day, I want to be paid to sit and write books all day.
32. I don't believe that anything happens by mere chance.
