Love Mondays
Mondays get such a bad rap, don't they? Here's how I have my best Monday...
I get so tired of seeing the quotes on Instagram and Facebook that give Monday such a hard time. Yes, we all love the weekend (unless you work in retail or a hospital. In which case, you have my full sympathy).
I think the key to a great Monday is first of all deciding that you're going to make the best of it. Easier said than done, I know. I've been guilty of wasting an entire day, due to complete lack of motivation.
Plan your Monday on Sunday
That's right. A little forward thinking can do wonders. I usually spend five minutes on Sunday writing down my tasks for the next day. It helps to turn your 'oh my gosh, I have so much to get done tomorrow' thought into 'I know what I'm doing tomorrow and can't wait to get cracking.'
Get active
It doesn't matter if it's a full blown bootcamp session, light jog or just a few stretches, getting active in some way will shift those Monday blues faster than a latte will!
Plan a nice lunch
My life pretty much revolves around food, so I make sure that I have some of my favourite food to look forward to. Nothing gets you through tough tasks like knowing there's a bowl of spinach and pasta waiting for you.
Get rid of distractions for a time
I amaze myself sometimes at the amount of time I spend scrolling Instagram, when I should be doing work. It's especially bad on Mondays because I sometimes find myself playing 'catch up' on tasks, throughout the week because of that.
So...those are some of the things I try to do, to make sure that I have a good Monday. Do I always get it absolutely spot-on? No but when I do, I feel like a boss!
