Inside Melly's Wardrobe | Essentials | Black Skater Dress
Another post about one of my favourite items and today, it's the turn of my black skater dress.
The exact one that I have is actually from Everything 5 Pounds. Now, I used to skeptical about the site but if anything was going to change my mind, it was this dress.
Skater dresses are so versatile. Mine in particular is made from black faux leather. The thing that I like most about the humble skater dress is its versatility.
I've found myself wearing this all sorts of ways and in all sorts of places. I've worn it to a wedding, dinner with friends, a meeting, church and even just out and about when I want to feel pretty.
The skirt means you can be a little bit creative, so once or twice, I've paired it with a jumper. It looks fab with a jacket and I've even thrown a blouse over the top.
When I went to Liverpool, I paired it with leggings and boots for a slightly tougher look. I especially love how this flatters my figure. It has just enough flare but somehow accommodates my chest. It's about as close to perfect as I could have wanted.
Fancy shopping the look? You can do so below. Do you have a skater dress in your wardrobe? What occasions would you wear it for? Let me know in the comments.

This is my most favourite look that I've created so far. It was quite thrown together but an all-black look is a complete fail-safe. The shoes that I am wearing here are so great that I bought them twice. Fedoras are one of my favourite thing to wear. They turn every bad hair day into a fabulous one.
