Interiors | Moodboard and Inspo for My Studio

I would love a studio space to work out of, one day, so I've been thinking through design ideas.
This is such an exciting post for me because it also serves a little bit of an intro to what I do aside from blogging on here and running Honey Bee Copywriting.

I've been on the look out for a studio space to base all of my work from for a few months now. When I launched Honey Bee Home, that was a part of the long term plan - especially as I wanted the brand to look and feel a particular way.

I used to share an office with my lovely friend Nicky but once that space didn't really serve us anymore, I started to think about how I wanted my next place to look.

In April, I went to a moodboard workshop, hosted by Topology Interiors at the MADE.com showroom in Birmingham. It was so much fun. The food was from Tom's Kitchen in The Mailbox - win! It was nice to be able to connect with Birmingham-based interiors obsessives, rather than just London.

I felt like I was back in Textiles at school and I've been moodboard obsessed ever since. I saw it as a good opportunity to think up some ideas for my new HoneyBee HQ.

As the space will be somewhere that I'll create the content for my own brand and hopefully be styling for clients, I needed it to be more than just an office. I won't mind if it's a bit rough round the edges, as a 'lived in' feel is really going to serve the vision of how I want my content to feel.

My style is kind of 'luxe meets industrial' and I love muted colours, with metallics thrown in. I can't resist black and white stripes either. Give me monochrome and brass combinations, any day of the week.

I'll need white walls for photography purposes but I'd love a faux fireplace to make into a feature wall - so I've been on the look out for eye-catching wallpapers. Wilko have an amazing range.

These ideas may change over time but it was great to be able to plan out the look and feel of the space and throw in a couple of ideas that I may not have considered, until they were in front of me.

I'll share more studio updates, as and when they happen.

Thanks for stopping by!
